As before, 50% probability is assumed, since the MCxD100 must achieve code phase
locktoobtaintheCarrierIDfromtheMetaCarrier.Therefore,eachtimetheMCxD100
isinstructedtoreacquire,theprobabilityremainsthatitwillachievecodephaselockto
theinterferingcarrier.
If the MetaCarrier is obtained and th
e interfering carrier is identified, the uplinking
stationmaybecontactedandarequestmadetodisablethetransmissionservice.
IftheMetaCarrierisnotobtained,proceedtoStep2.
Step2:DisabletheMetaCarrieronthedesiredcarriertoallowtheMCxD100tolookfor
theMetaCarrierun
dertheinterferingcarrier.
If the MetaCarrier is obtained, the uplinking station may be contacted and a request
madetodisablethetransmissionservice.
IftheMetaCarrierisnotobtained,proceedtoStep3.
Step3:Manyreceivingdevicesmaytoleratethecenterfrequencybeingoffsetfromthe
transmission station if it is kept within the carrier tr
acking loop of the receiver. Move
the centerfrequencyof the desiredcarrier upor downto allow the MCxD100to look
fortheMetaCarrierundertheinterferi ngcarrier.
If the MetaCarrier is obtained, the uplinking station may be co
ntacted and a request
madetodisablethetransmissionservice.
IftheMetaCarrierisnotobtained,proceedtoStep4.
